What's Really Working?

09.10 - 09.30 BST
Mark Sean Taylor
Mark Taylor of Patient Led Oncology, an organisation focused on understanding the scientific research of integrative oncology approaches, talks about how to navigate this increasingly complex world. Many patients are overwhelmed with information when diagnosed and don’t know which way to turn. After spending five years studying patients going through the experience of trying to navigate the confusion, he explains some common sense steps that leads to a greater chance of choosing an approach that works.

What really works, & what doesn't - sharing clinical experience & available research

09.30 - 10.10 BST
Dr James Laporta
Integrative oncology today is about precision support, not alternatives. By combining rigorous evidence, advanced diagnostics, and whole-person care, patients gain resilience, relief, and improved quality of life. Services once only available abroad are now increasingly accessible here in the UK.

Case studies of integrative protocols in action

10.10 - 10.45 BST
Patricia Peat
Patricia will be drawing on ‘real world’ data to present three case studies highlighting the assessment and prioritising of approaches, and how the adoption of carefully devised integrative protocols resulted in successful outcomes.

The Evidence Behind Combining Repurposed Drugs With Conventional Treatments

11.15 - 11.50 BST
Jane McLelland
Repurposed drugs have seen an explosion of interest in the last decade, driven substantially by Jane’s groundbreaking book How to Starve Cancer, but how well evidenced is their use alongside mainstream treatments?

The potential of psychedelics in cancer care

11.50 - 12.25 BST
Prof Jo Neill
Psychedelics are proving to be an immense resource for those diagnosed with cancer in coming to terms with the life-sized psychological, spiritual and emotional challenges they have to face.

Clinically Proven Natural Immune Therapy

12.25 - 13.00 BST
Sylvie Beljanski
This presentation will examine the therapeutic potential of specially prepared small RNA fragments for treating immunodeficiencies in two distinct patient populations. The Beljanski Foundation has sponsored successful human clinical trials evaluating these RNA fragments for chemotherapy-induced myelosuppression and Long COVID-associated immunodeficiency. Clinical trial results will be presented, highlighting benefits for patients and discussing the proposed mechanism of action.

What Integrative Strategies Have Really Worked – 40 Years On

14.30 - 14.50 BST
Dr Rajendra Sharma
Dr Sharma’s presentation is emergent from 40 years of integrated general practice. He will summarise approaches supportive of those with chronic disease, including cancer, and discuss practical applications to achieve optimum ‘terrain’, thereby increasing the likelihood of success of any integrated treatment and minimising adverse effects. He will discuss how to combine naturopathic, conventional and repurposed medications, and how to obtain them.

The need for more collaboration and a larger toolbox

14.50 - 15.10 BST
Dr Siegfried Trefzer
There can be many pros and cons attributed to small independent clinic settings especially in their contribution to cancer care. More flexibility in adapting to new protocols of treatment and more inclusiveness of patient’s views, enabling their easier participation are often mentioned. amongst the advantages. Openness in looking at the limits and the difficulties remains a key to success.

integrative oncology in colorectal cancer

15.10 - 15.30 BST
Dr Emma Davies
This presentation will explore evidence-based integrative approaches in colorectal cancer care, focusing on strategies that demonstrate clinical benefit in symptom management, treatment support, and patient outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on interventions with strong supporting data, including nutritional strategies, exercise oncology, acupuncture, modulated electro-hyperthermia, intravenous therapies, and select natural compounds, and how these can be effectively integrated alongside standard oncological care.

Success in Integrative Cancer Care: Unlocking the Factors That Make a Difference

15.30 - 15.50 BST
Dr Aryan Tavakkoli
In this talk we will explore real-life case studies of individuals who have experienced successful outcomes through integrative cancer care, and highlight the various factors that contributed to a positive prognosis in each case. Each case will be illustrated with evidence from published research showing how selected integrative therapies can help improve not only treatment side effects but also overall treatment outcomes.
