About us

Pruimboom Institute is a pioneering international organisation dedicated to advancing clinical psychoneuroimmunology (CPNI) - a dynamic, integrative medical science rooted in evolutionary biology exploring interactions between the brain, nervous, immune, endocrine, and metabolic systems and their impact on human health. Founded by Dr Leo Pruimboom, a physiologist and medical biochemist, the Institute has evolved from a visionary concept into a global leader in CPNI education and research, transforming healthcare.

Dr Pruimboom has devoted his career to developing CPNI as a clinical discipline. His groundbreaking approach translates complex scientific knowledge into practical, solution-focused methods, viewing the body as a single, interconnected soma “where everything is everywhere at the same time.” Through founding the European Academy of CPNI in 1987, fostering collaborations with international universities, and drawing on decades of clinical experience, he has played a pivotal role in establishing the scientific foundations for a universal approach redefining medicine.

Today, Pruimboom Institute operates across 10 campuses worldwide, providing advanced training to medical and health professionals. Its International Master’s degree is delivered in English and accessible worldwide.

With a growing global presence and strong commitment to evidence-based education and innovative clinical tools, the Institute is dedicated to leading the way in modern medicine.
