BioBran MGN-3: The Leading Natural Solution for Immune Support
Developed over 30 years ago by Daiwa Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. in Japan, BioBran MGN-3 is supported by more than 70 peer-reviewed research papers and extensive clinical use. It has become a preferred choice for practitioners seeking reliable immune support. Much of this research has been conducted by Professor Mamdooh Ghoneum, an immunologist at Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles, USA, and this research is ongoing. (The latest research is looking at the effects of this natural supplement on brain health and how it can be supportive with cognitive decline.)
Manufacture
BioBran MGN-3 is produced through a patented enzymatic process that transforms indigestible rice bran into short-chain polysaccharides, primarily arabinoxylan. Shiitake mushroom enzymes are utilised, with the mushroom mycelia removed post-process. This standardised method ensures batch-to-batch consistency, making BioBran MGN-3 a reliable addition to practitioner protocols.
Immune System Response
When mixed in liquid and ingested (it is pleasant tasting, which encourages compliance), BioBran MGN-3 safely stimulates cytokines—interferons, interleukins, and tumour necrosis factors—that regulate immune responses. This stimulation activates lymphocytes such as NK cells, T cells, and B cells without causing overstimulation or imbalance, making it suitable even for individuals with autoimmune conditions.
As a robust immune system is vital for overall health—protecting against pathogens, infections, and abnormal cells—it is often a central focus in practitioner protocols. Chronic stress, illness, or intensive treatments can compromise immunity, making supplementation with a reliable immunomodulator especially valuable.
Unlike many immune supplements driven by marketing claims, BioBran MGN-3 is scientifically validated and standardised. The same proprietary arabinoxylan used in studies is found in every BioBran MGN-3 box, enhancing practitioner confidence in the product.
Safety and Contraindications
BioBran MGN-3 has no reported toxicity or adverse side effects, even at higher doses taken over extended periods. Notably, it does not lead to a hypo-responsive tail-off, making it suitable as a long-term supplement.
Although shiitake enzymes are used during production, the final product contains no detectable mushroom content, making it safe for those with mushroom allergies. It is officially approved by the Japanese Health Food and Nutrition Food Association. The only clear contraindication is with immunosuppressant medications.
Available Forms
BioBran MGN-3 is available in tablet form (250 mg) and powder sachets (1,000 mg). Tablets offer convenience at lower doses, while powders are preferred for higher intake.
Recommended Dosages:
1. General immune support: 500 mg daily
2. Enhanced immune support: 1,000 mg daily
3. Strongest support: 3,000 mg daily for one month, followed by 1,000 mg daily for maintenance
For optimal results, BioBran MGN-3 should be taken with water, and for the tablets, after a meal. Higher doses should be divided into three portions and taken throughout the day. A healthcare consultation is recommended prior to use, particularly alongside other therapies.
